For Remembrance Day we created our own poppies made from newspaper.
We blended a mixture of two different types of red paint (so that our poppies would look more realistic), and then painted some old newspaper.

Next, we used heart shaped templates and we each cut several hearts out of our newspaper. Then we had to glue our hearts in a circle to create a flower shape.
Finally, we all headed outside to the "mini forest," and we each chose a twig to use as the stem of our poppy.
