This year for Remembrance Day we were lucky to have some
very important visitors come to our school. Across the street from our school is a senior living complex and our principal invited the seniors to attend our Remembrance Day ceremony.
We thought that it would be nice if we spent the morning baking fresh cookies to serve to our elders. On the morning of our assembly, we all headed down to the multipurpose room. We baked 4 different types of cookies that morning! It was pretty hard to remember that we were
baking for our guests, but we managed to not snack before our guests
arrived.

As the seniors started to arrive we were armed with cookies, tea, and smiles.
We introduced ourselves and told the seniors a little bit about ourselves. We really enjoyed chatting with them.

Next we went to the assembly, where student leaders lead the assembly, our principal spoke, several classes and students performed, and the choir sang. It was a fantastic assembly.
In the afternoon, we finished some art, ate our cookies, and had to say a very sad goodbye to one of our classmates. Lance is moving to the island, and we know the class won’t be the same without his smile. We wish you lots of luck at your new school Lance, and we will miss you!!
