We started our third week of spelling words this week. Our new words are: is, can, you, on, at. New words, mean new centres! We really enjoyed working in our groups today and learning all the new centres.
At the first centre, we had to use our sight words to read, write and create. First we read the word aloud. Next we have to print the word. Finally we have to cut out letters and glue them in the correct order to create the word.

At another centre we got to play a memory game with our spelling words.
At the third station we worked on finding all the spelling words in a pumpkin. We got to use a highlighter, which was pretty neat!
At the fourth centre we worked on a game called Rainbow Writing Roll and Spell. First we pick one of our sight words. Next we take turns rolling a die and writing our spelling word in the corresponding colour. The first person to write the word in all six colours wins!
